Spotlight Advertising Information
One great feature of the new website is the "Spotlight Ad" which gives community members and organizations the opportunity to promote their business or event on the BACC website.
The Spotlight Ad gives you a box on the top left side of the BACC homepage. It consists of an image, the advertiser's name, and date of the event (if event). There will link to a "Spotlight page" with additional information about the event or function.
The BACC reserves the right to review and approve of all material to be posted in the Spotlight Ad.

Glossary
Pixel
Short for picture element. A pixel is the smallest logical unit of visual information that can be used to build an image. Pixels are the little squares that can be seen when a graphics image is enlarged. The more pixels in an image, the better its resolution. A typical VGA screen has a resolution of 640 pixels (screen width) by 480 pixels (screen height).
Resolution
Resolution is the number of pixels (individual points of color) contained on a display monitor, expressed in terms of the number of pixels on the horizontal axis and the number on the vertical axis. The sharpness of the image on a display depends on the resolution and the size of the monitor. The same pixel resolution will be sharper on a smaller monitor and gradually lose sharpness on larger monitors because the same number of pixels are being spread out over a larger number of inches. We request that all images be 72 dpi (dots per inch).
File format
In a computer, a file format is the layout of a file in terms of how the data within the file is organized. A program must be able to recognize and access the data within the file. Conventionally, the extension is separated by a period from the name and contains three or four letters that identify the format. We request that sized images be in the format of .jpg or .gif.
