Brattleboro is Southern Vermont’s Destination for Fine Craft Beer and Spirits!
“Long known to out of staters for our great deer hunting, flatlanders are now coming to Vermont to beer hunt. They are literally rising at dawn to drive to the promised land where they stand in a long line and wait, and wait, and wait some more to purchase Vermont’s world award winning beers, which they carry back with them in the trunks of their cars to lift up their miserable lives because they don’t live in Vermont.” – Former Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin
Gov. Shumlin is right!
Nothing is finer than a beer or liqueur made in Brattleboro and infused with local ingredients – and with just one sip we’re sure you’ll agree! The Whetstone Station Restaurant and Brewery, Hermit Thrush Brewery and Saxtons River Distillery use techniques and flavors that result in some of the best beer and spirits in the region.
Whetstone Station Restaurant and Brewery
36 Bridge Street, Brattleboro
The Whetstone Station is an experimental brewery – each brew is unique and typically incorporates something that is non-traditional. They never brew the same beer twice. Enjoy a beer in the outdoor Beir Garten or in the restaurant and be sure to take a 32 oz. Crowler to go!
Hermit Thrush Brewery
29 High Street, Brattleboro
Through the use of historical brewing processes, oak casks, and new green technologies, the Hermit Thrush makes exciting, yet accessible, Belgian inspired ales, while keeping an eye on minimizing the environmental impact. Enjoy a tasting and take a Growler or can to go!
Saxtons River Distillery
485 West River Road
The Saxtons River Distillery makes liqueur, bourbon and gin infused with pure Vermont maple syrup. Its Perc Coffee Liqueur recently won the gold medal at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Take a tour of the distillery, meet the master distillers, taste the delicious liquors, and of course, take some home with you!
