How to be a One and Only Brattleboro marketing partner

WE'VE LAUNCHED "The One and Only Brattleboro" -- an ambitious and widely-targeted campaign to position the Brattleboro area as a uniquely attractive place to visit, to live and to do business.

OUR AREA'S UNIQUE OFFERINGS will be promoted via a broad range of media and events: seasonal guides, major market ads, publicity, websites, Facebook, Twitter, Google, posters, rack cards, newspaper ads and inserts, local signage, bumper stickers, t-shirts, restaurant table tents, etc.

THE INTENT is to propagate "The One and Only Brattleboro" as a catchphrase as memorable as "I love New York."

YOUR BUSINESS OR ORGANIZATION can benefit from the marketing momentum of this campaign! Positioning the area as unique and different in the minds of potential customers is an important first step in attracting them to stores, arts and entertainment venues, recreation, lodging, dining, real estate and potentially business relocations in our area. And a coordinated branding campaign using the community's pooled resources and efforts will have greater success than individual outreach alone.

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE:

  1. List your upcoming events: go to the Chamber's site (http://www.brattleborochamber.org/play/calendar_submit.php) and list your upcoming events, especially anything you have planned for September, when it will be included in our four-week September Swing into Fall festival.
  2. Use the One and Only Brattleboro logo in your own marketing, including:
    • On your website
    • In your local and regional advertising
    • In all printed marketing materials such as rack brochures, mailings, stationery, envelopes, etc.
    • On your Facebook Page
    • In your email marketing campaigns
    • In "point-of-sale" displays in your business -- we will have available window posters, table tents, door decals, etc.
  3. When using the logo in digital media (website, Facebook, email), please include a hyperlink, if possible, to the Chamber's website (www.brattleborochamber.org), where visitors may find more information about things to do and places to visit in the area.
  4. Help build our social media campaigns:
    • Become a Fan of "Brattleboro - The One and Only" on Facebook;
    • Use the "Suggest to Friends" link on our Page to build our Fan base as well as your own;
    • Follow "BrattleboroONE" on Twitter (http://twitter.com/BrattleboroONE).
    • Add the campaign's Facebook page to your own Page's "favorites."
    • On your own Facebook and Twitter pages, re-post and re-tweet messages, as appropriate, from the campaign's pages. The campaign's social media messages will include information about upcoming events, unique venues, unique facts about the Brattleboro area, photos, videos, and interactions with "Fans."
  5. In your own marketing, use elements of the campaign as appropriate -- for example, the "Only in Brattleboro" factoids that can be found at the Chamber's site at: http://www.brattleborochamber.org/one-and-only.html. Also, discuss with us coop marketing dollars that may be available.
  6. Discuss with us options for logo licensing: Our campaign logos and the slogan "The One and Only Brattleboro" may be licensed for use one merchandise such as tote bags, mugs, umbrellas, wrapping paper, hats etc. on a revenue sharing basis.
