The mission of Southeastern Vermont Community Action is to enable people to cope with, and reduce the hardships of poverty; create sustainable self-sufficiency; reduce the causes and move toward the elimination of poverty.  SEVCA provides a wide array of programs to address poverty-related needs, in the areas of crisis intervention, affordable housing / homelessness prevention, home energy costs, business startup and support, workforce development, education & skills training, early childhood development, food & nutrition, health care, affordable clothing & household needs, income budgeting & savings, information & referral, and service coordination.
