Saturday, December 2, 2023 – 9:30 a.m. kick-off!
The Brattleboro Area Chamber of Commerce’s 8th Annual 5K Jingle Bell Jog is a fun family-oriented way to celebrate winter in Brattleboro so lace up your running shoes and join us! This festive 5K fun run will raise money for the Chamber’s “Skills for Success” scholarship fund which provides assistance to students who will be pursuing a technical, trade or other non-traditional post-secondary education. Come dressed as an elf, a grinch, Santa or any holiday inspired character – or just come as you are! Costumes are encouraged but not required. Awards for fastest runners, best costume and most money raised will be given. Hot Cocoa will be served!
NEW ROUTE FOR 2023! The loop course starts downtown at the Heart Rose Club on 11 Green Street (the former Shriner Temple), runs west on Green Street, looping up Bullock to High to Whipple and then back to Green. It then heads west where it merges with Western Avenue continuing on before turning onto Williams Street (by Vermont Country Deli). Participants will continue east along the Whetstone Brook before merging onto Frost Street, up Elm to Elliot before before merging onto Church Street and back to Green where runners return to the Heart Rose Club for the big finish!
The Prestigious Jingle Bell Awards!
Prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women finishers, best costume and the individual or team that raises the most money! Participants are encouraged to wear holiday-themed attire. Jingle bells will be provided!
Entry fees
$20 for individual runner of 13 years or older. Special rate: Team of 4+ – $50. We encourage runners to collect sponsorships and help build the scholarship! You might win the “Raised the Most Funds” award! Contact the Chamber of Commerce for details. Race day registration at the Heart Rose Club (11 Green Street) begins at 8:30am and the race kicks off promptly at 9:30am!
