The Brattleboro Food Co-op is your community-owned downtown marketplace and deli, providing Southern Vermont with healthy food choices since 1975. Welcome! We look like just a very nice grocery store, but it’s more than that: we’re 100% community-owned, and about a quarter of our sales come from locally produced products and produce. What does that mean for you? It means that when you shop here, you are supporting not only the Co-op, but also hundreds of local vendors who sell their foods and wares in our market, and you’ll find a fascinating, fun, and feast-worthy selection of items from all over our state, region, and beyond! You’re also supporting us in supporting our community: we offer free cooking classes to schools and underserved people in our community, and give resources to support nonprofits and other groups doing work to improve the health and happiness of our town.

We also have a full deli including handmade sandwiches, freshly made brick oven pizzas, a self-serve hot buffet, smoothies, delicious and convenient Grab-and-Go lunch options, deli salads and meats cooked in our own kitchen, coffee, baked goods, and more.

Other highlights include the best selection of local and regional craft beers in town, natural wines, sophisticated N/A options, an incredible meat & seafood department stocked with natural and humanely raised staples and specialties, an artisan cheese shop with dozens of rare and wonderful local and international cheeses, a produce department devoted to our area’s local farms, extensive health and beauty offerings curated by trustworthy Co-op staff and stocked with the best supplements and skincare in town, tons of local dairy, a frozen section filled with an astounding number of culinary delights, and, last but not least, a bulk department that offers the best deals on herbs, spices, and coffee and truly the best nuts in town.

Truly, if you want to experience Brattleboro, you cannot skip the Brattleboro Food Co-op. See you soon!
