About VTSTRA

The Vermont Short-Term Rental Alliance (VTSTRA) is the statewide business association representing Vermont’s short-term rental owners, property managers, and hospitality professionals.

Our mission is to protect private property rights, promote responsible hosting, strengthen Vermont’s tourism economy, and advance practical, evidence-based public policy.

We work with homeowners, lodging professionals, legislators, municipalities, state agencies, and community organizations to ensure Vermont remains a welcoming place to live, work, and visit.

VTSTRA believes homeowners have the right to rent their property, provided they do so responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws. We support regulations that protect public health and safety, preserve neighborhood quality of life, safeguard Vermont’s natural resources, and ensure fair enforcement for everyone.

Memberships are available for Vermont homeowners, property managers, housecleaners, property care professionals, and other tourism-minded businesses.
